Becoming a bridge between Japan and Sri Lanka

The GLS offers a broad curriculum that will help my career

I first discovered about Chukyo University and the GLS program when I was attending Japanese language school. My teachers informed me about the Winter Holiday Event organized by the FWC* and I decided to join. This gave me the opportunity to talk with GLS students and professors, and I was immediately drawn to it.

What intrigued me the most about the GLS program is its broad curriculum. We do not focus on a single subject or field; on the contrary, we have the chance to learn about politics, business studies, tourism, international relations, and much more.

My goal is to have my own business in Japan and to be a bridge between Japan and Sri Lanka, my home country. For this purpose, I plan to work for about five years in a Japanese company to get the necessary knowledge. Job hunting in Japan can be challenging, but I believe that my language skills, cultural experience, and global mindset will become a big strength.
